Baseball Morning Report
MLB Contract & Roster-Control Status — 40-Man Roster Report
Contract & Roster-Control Status is the administrative companion to an MLB Organization Desk. It organizes the current 40-man roster by active, Minor League and injured status, shows verified assignment and recent roster actions, summarizes current-season option transaction context, and identifies Rule 5 protection for players on the official 40-man roster.
BMR deliberately does not infer exact options remaining, exact Major League service time or contract-control milestones when the available official data cannot establish them safely. Open a current MLB Organization Desk to generate the live two-page roster-control report.
Reports & Forms directory · Open all 30 MLB Organization Desks · The current team/date roster-control print instance remains noindex; historical Organization Desks do not backfill present-day roster-control data.

288 career wins · 26 Major League seasons · Four-time All-Star
His courage in undergoing Dr. Frank Jobe’s pioneering elbow reconstruction changed what was possible for injured pitchers and helped reshape the future of baseball. Tommy John returned to the mound in 1976 and won 164 games after the procedure.
Rest in peace, Tommy John.
